The return of a favorite among our heavier red wine drinkers. 70% Merlot 30% Grenache from Cedar Lane Vineyard in Arroyo Seco. Only 76 Cases produced. La Grava (meaning ‘the gravel’ in Spanish) pays homage to the gravely soils at Cedar Lane Vineyard. This year the blend is comprised of 70% Merlot with 30% Grenache. Inspired by the Merlot based blends from the Right Bank in Bordeaux, it is aged 22 Months in 15% new French Oak (14 months extra bottle age). Dense ruby red color with a heavenly bouquet of dark cherries, dried oolong tea, crushed rocks and violets. Pure and powerful, but finesse driven all the way. Seamless tannins and a long ,fruit and spice laden finish.
