Gamay Noir is the classic grape variety of the Beaujolais region of France. Our version is grown in the sunny but cool Arroyo Seco AVA on granite based soils. It shares the classic peppery red fruit aromas and refreshing flavors of its Village and Cru French counterparts. 23 cases produced.
Aromas of blackberry, pomegranate and crushed black pepper are followed by notes of dried orange peel, tarragon and rich earth. The medium bodied mouth shows a juicy blackberry character along with minerality and a slight tension from moderate tannins. One barrel, 25 cases, produced.
